CEO and PRESIDENT
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography at University of Chittagong, Bangladesh and completed his masters degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He is a microfinance practitioner with more than twenty-two (22) years of experience. He started his career in ASA Bangladesh. He held various positions from Area Chief, and rose to the position of Deputy Director of Programs.
His areas of expertise include field operations, program and management monitoring, partnership and development program, disaster and delinquency management, conversion of microfinance program from group liability to individual liability approach and specialized in product, process and methodology designed for microfinance.
In June 2004, he was sent by ASA Bangladesh to the Philippines as one of the Consultants of the UNDP- Micro Start Program (MSP). ASA Bangladesh was the lead International Technical Service Provider of the program. For two years (2004-2006) he was assigned as Consultant for CARD-MRI, the largest microfinance institution in the Philippines.
Shortly after returning to Bangladesh after the completion of his consultancy, ASA International assigned him to establish and manage the Philippine operation of ASA International and in June 2007, Pagasa Philippines Lending Company, Inc. was established where he presently serve as CEO and President.
MD. SHAMSUL HASSAN
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commenrce from Dhaka University , Bangladesh. Hew joined ASA Bangladesh in 1993 as Manager of Finance and MIs. In 2011, he was promoted to Joint Deputy Director for Operations and in 2016, he served as Joint Deputy Director for Risk Management. In 2006, he provided consultancy services to Total Rural Development Cooperatives in the Philippines.
He has attended course on financial analysis, risk management, management strategies and SME financing in Bangladesh and Thailand. He brings to Pagasa 24 years of experience in microfinance operations, financial management, and risk management.
EMPIE S. PELAYO JR.
SR. ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Behavior Technology (Psychology) from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila and MA in Human Behavior.
He has over 20 years of experience in all facets of Human Resource Management i.e. recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits, case management, performance management, labor law, succession and retention planning, and HR policies and procedures development.
He started his career as Recruitment Officer for a security Agency in 1991, and became either Head or Manager of HR Departments in various companies in the Philippines. He served as the HR Manager for Jonaricho Manpower and Development Services prior to joining Pagasa.
DANILO SOLIVEROS JR.
He is currently the IT Manager of PPLCI. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila in 1998. He has over 16 years of experience working in different levels of Information Technology. He has been a programmer, data center officer, systems and network administrator, infrastructure specialist, project lead, supervisor, department head and manager. His wide range of business systems exposure includes banking, construction, power generation, energy trading, real estate, health insurance, manufacturing, electronic security, financing and managed services.
Prior to his appointment as IT Manager, he served as infrastructure specialist at FDC Utilities, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Filinvest Development Corporation that ventures in power generation. He also served as IT Manager at Dalco International in Papua New Guinea and IT Head at Diebold Philippines, Inc. and spent 7 years in the UAE working for government and multinational companies.
